Did you just use "spike" and "PvE" in the same sentence?
3 Rits/Paras = PvE invincibility. (i.e. easy Hard Mode)
ArenaNet might as well add a 3rd Hero for all professions. Couldn't hurt.

Regina, If only you could have the developers make female/male versions opposing the current Avatars we have so I don't have to call them "Dervestites." :P

Calling it a "PvE Hero" makes me feel like it's going to be overpowered in its differences. I hope that doesn't become the case.

So people who buy this get a hero, and people who already have all four campaigns get nothing.
Oh well, not really surprised, nor do I really care.

There's 11 pages of bitching and whining. If I were a mod, I too wouldn't have read it.

This is very cool. Thanks to aNet and, in particular, whoever was involved in making this happen.
Also, thanks to Regina for clarifying the confusion on the matter. I look quite forward to adding MOX to my collection of heroes. Cheers.

For the first time, you can explore the full Guild Wars world within one box set: Guild Wars: The Complete Collection. This collection includes all three standalone campaigns, Guild Wars ("Prophecies"), Guild Wars: Factions, and Guild Wars: Nightfall, as well as the colossal expansion Guild Wars: Eye Of The North.
GW:EN is colossal?

She already explained why it's a PvE hero. It looks too different, it's too big, it is hard to identify. One of the key design points of Guild War's PvP is making everything else to identify, which is largely why everything in the game revolves around this (key skills having vastly different easy to recognize animations, the suits of armor, the effects monitor and skill types, etc.)

If you have the first 3 you get it.
See, now I'd say I told you all so, but that would be cruel.

Regarding weapon appearances... Regina's comment about being harder to identify what weapon its wielding makes me think that it might just be shown using its claws, and the weapon installed affects the attack through a similar magic to how the weapon wielded by the character affects the attacks of siege devourers and junundu.
A little more finely controlled, as it would actually use the stats of the weapon rather than just using the type of weapon to set the type of attack to use, but the same "weapon is not actually shown" principle.

For all those immediately QQ'ing about the fact that this only comes with the new set... Guess what?, there are already more heros than you can use if you've unlocked them all! 3 monks, 2 rits, etc... and multiple heros of EVERY class!
Personally I don't care. I say GO FOR IT ANET! Because all "veteran" players seem to complain the loudest. The only reason this would matter even the LEAST is if they allowed full hero parties at a later date. And even then... There are enough heros already of each type to have a balanced hero team.
Good move on anet's part, especially if it forces "veteran" players to buy another account just because its something they don't have. Even if its insignificant.

1) More slots to have prebuilt heroes. I actually wouldn't mind a fourth elementalist slot just so I can have one each built for each element, rather than having to fiddle with their builds and equipment whenever I want the element I don't have one already kitted out for.
I had a second point, but Regina's post has made it obsolete, so I'll just leave it at pointing out that there are benefits to having more heroes than you can use.

Anet currently has the favor of the Gods.
...or at least me...
EDIT: Zomg ppl, can we put it somewhere to make it clear that as long as you have the 3 core games you can unlock him... for free no less?
Ppl are getting pissy for nada.

Dear Anet, how much more stuff do you have lying around that was canned from EotN at the last minute? Are you planning to release them at a gradual drip to fill the void until GW2? If so, good, but I wish you had added them to the game while GW1 still mattered.
